Gun violence is a growing epidemic in American schools. In fact, more than 300,000 students have experienced gun violence in schools since the 1999 Columbine attack. From the high-profile attacks in Uvalde, Parkland, and Sandy Hook within the last decade, to less publicized and unreported daily incidents of gun violence, school-centered violence seems to have become a daily part of American life. With no end to the political gridlock surrounding the issue on the horizon, educators, school leaders, and district/state policymakers are making important safety decisions for their students every day.

Join The Hunt Institute on Thursday, December 1, for an important #EdHomeroom discussion about how school violence impacts our students and educators, its disproportionate impact on students of color, as well as what states, districts, and organizations across the country are doing to prevent future incidences in our schools.
