In the fall of 2021, women represented 58 percent of enrolled students at degree-granting postsecondary institutions, with 67 percent of those women attaining a bachelor’s degree in 6 years. Attaining a postsecondary degree, especially for women, is linked with higher earnings when compared to those without a postsecondary degree. However, despite rising participation in the work force and more women with degrees, women are still only earning 84% of what men earn, and this number is even lower for Black and Latina women. Gender and racial discrimination in the workplace, lack of workplace flexibility, and a lack of family-friendly policies all contribute to this persisting pay gap.

Join The Hunt Institute on Thursday, February 8 at 2:00 pm ET to discuss the scope of these issues and elaborate on promising practices in promoting the economic empowerment of women and non-binary individuals.
