Building on the momentum of the 2018 midterm elections, more women—particularly women of color and LGBTQ candidates—ran for office in 2020 than ever before. Historic wins across political affiliation spanned from state legislatures to the halls of Congress and the White House, most notably with the landmark election of Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.

These victories come at an important moment for women. These women in leadership are poised to set the tone and shape policy at all levels of government as the country recovers from a traumatic year and works toward a more progressive future.

To celebrate Women’s History Month, join The Hunt Institute for a #RaceAndEducation webinar on 3/29 that will uplift these voices to share their insights into positions of leadership and the importance of education in lives of people across the country.
