According to the Legal Center for Foster Care and Education, “Youth who are or have been in foster care often encounter challenges in maintaining progress in achieving their educational goals.” The greater challenge comes when those students disproportionally represent communities of color, LGBTQ+ and those who have learning differences. In this webinar on Thursday, July 14, at 2pm EST, experts will discuss ways in which education systems and communities can support BIPOC students in foster care.
