What is the future of public higher education in North Carolina? A forum, sponsored by Higher Education Works and the Harvard Club of the Research Triangle, met in April 2015 to discuss the challenges facing higher education and the strategies for improving student achievement in North Carolina. The speakers – University of North Carolina President Tom Ross, NC Community College System President Scott Ralls, state Sen. Josh Stein, and state Sen. Jeff Tarte – also discussed the historical connections between the business community and the public colleges and universities.
