Updated and accurate data on teacher and school leader diversity is critical to advancing educator diversity efforts across the nation. In October, the One Million Teachers of Color campaign launched our state-by-state map that shows the student to teacher and student to leader gap in each state. This project reemphasizes the campaign’s commitment to making teacher diversity data accessible for all. Our partners in Massachusetts have done a state-level study and are excited to share the results and implications for other states.

Join our experts from The Hunt Institute, Latinos for Education, Teach Plus, and Boston University Wheelock College of Education and Human Development on Tuesday, January 23rd to discuss how we can improve data collection on teacher demographics, educator performance, and student outcomes as we continue to advocate for a more diverse educator workforce.
