2015 Holshouser Legislators Retreat

In December 2015, The Hunt Institute convened North Carolina legislators in Pinehurst, NC for its 12^th annual Holshouser Legislators Retreat: Education | For a Stronger North Carolina. At the Retreat policymakers interacted with state and national education experts around the economic imperative for a strong education continuum in North Carolina. Participants engaged in conversations exploring early childhood education, school turnaround, STEM education, teacher preparation and recruitment, and workforce preparation.

Throughout the Retreat, policymakers were challenged to consider how they might apply their learning to the education policy issues discussing during the upcoming legislative session.
